Did you know that one of the factors that made Americans gain so much weight and be unhealthy is "sugar".....
According to the American Heart Association (AHA) the sugar intake per day for men is 36 grams (9 teaspoons) and for women is 25 grams (6 teaspoons). The average American consumes about 71 grams of sugar a day, which is equivalent to 17 teaspoons. That’s shocking!
For instance a can of 12 oz soda consist of about 40 grams of sugar.
4 grams of sugar is equivalent to 1 teaspoon.
